Mutlu Başkaya Yağcı was born in Aydın in 1962. She studied ceramic and graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University in 1992. She completed her master’s degree at her alma mater in 1997. Başkaya Yağcı has had three solo exhibitions and participated in national and international group exhibitions. Her works can be seen in several public and private collections such as the collection of Şeker Bank in Ankara, the collection of Rafina Municipality in Greece and the collection of Alberto Ruiz in Spain. As of today, Başkaya Yağcı continues to teach at Hacettepe University.
