Naz Cuguoğlu graduated from the Psychology Department at Koç University in 2012. In 2011 she attended a study abroad program at Georgetown University, Washington DC in 2011. She completed her Master′s degree in Social Psychology and cultural studies at Koç University in 2015. She continues an online course on "Expanding Exhibitions: Innovative Approaches to Curating" at Node Center for Curatorial Studies in Berlin.
Cuguoğlu writes many art critics and conducts interviews for various magazines including Artful Living, Trendsetter and Istanbul Art News. She is the coordinator of maumau art residency and the co-founder of Creative Çukurcuma. She is also the co-curator of Identity Lab Project in collaboration with Verkstad Konsthall and works at Gallery Zilberman. In addition to them, Cuguoğlu is a part of a curatorial team called Proto5533 consisting of a new generation of selected curators in Istanbul working under supervision of the director Mari Spirito and prominent mentor curators from Turkey and all around the world. She took part in CerCCa Art Residency Program in Spain as a writer and curator. Cuguoğlu currently lives and works in Istanbul.
