Neveser Aksoy was born in Izmit in 1953. She began painting in her childhood. Between 1962 and 1973, she received a scholarship and studied painting with Prof. Zeki Fakij İzer for three years and with Prof. Cevat Dereli in 1965-1970. In 1972, she graduated from the College of Fine Arts in Paris. After returning to Istanbul, she graduated from the College of Applied Fine Arts in Istanbul. In 1979, she moved to Paris and completed master’s degree in 1981 and doctoral degree in Fine Arts in 1990 at the Paris-Sorbonne University. Aksoy has had many solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey and foreign countries. Her works can be seen in many public and private collections in Turkey and abroad, such as Daubingy Museum (Ayvers sur Oise), Ankara and Izmir State Paining and Sculpture Museums, Edirne University Museum, Turkish House in New York, Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Turkish Ministry of Finance, Akbank, Demir-Halk Bank, Emlak Bank, Garanti Bank, İş Bank, Vakıf Bank, Ziraat Bank, Destek Reinsurance, Turkish General Consulate in Tokyo and the Foundation of Terakki High School. Aksoy published a book, “Around the World Under Glass” (Istanbul, 2005). Her name can be found in various French encyclopedias such as "L’OFFICİEL DES ARTS”, "BENEZIT" and "AKOUN". As of today, Aksoy continues to work in Paris.
