Nihat Tandoğan

Nihat Tandoğan was born in Avanos in 1930. He started painting on his own in childhood. In the 1940s, he began designing on ceramics at a ceramic workshop in Avanos. In 1953, he moved to Ankara and worked as a draftsman at the Military Academy until 1961. Tandoğan developed his skill by himself and concentrated on painting. He had his first solo exhibition at the State Gallery in Ankara in 1974. Currently, he continues his work in Ankara.
