Oğuz Demir

Oğuz Demir was born in Denizli in 1971. His first cartoon, which he drew in high school, was published in Gırgır journal. After graduating from the Graphic Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Anadolu University in 1988, Demir moved to Istanbul. He has participated in many national and international exhibitions, and his cartoons and illustrations have been published in various catalogues. Since 1993 Demir has been drawing cartoons, illustrations and comics for many publishers, agencies and magazines. He has received more than 14 awards in Turkey and abroad. In 2014 Demir received the first prize in the 4th International Turhan Selçuk Caricature Competition, which was organized by Milas Municipality.
