Özcan Uzkur

Assistant Prof. Özcan Uzkur was born in Balıkesir in 1952. He graduated from the Textile Department at the State Academy of Fine Arts in 1978. He completed his dotoral degree in proficiency in arts at his alma mater in 1986. Uzkur makes his fiber art works using silk. He has had seven solo exhibitions and has participated in many national and international group exhibitions. He has also organized numerous projects and workshops. From 1982 to 2011, Uzkur served as a lecturer in the Faculty of Fine Art at Marmara University. Currently, he teaches in the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design at Istanbul Kemerburgaz University.
