Aylin Yavuz was born in Germany in 1983. She studied art at the University of Siegen (2001-2002), the University of Dortmund (2002-2007) in Germany, and Marmara University (2005-2008) in Istanbul, Turkey. Since 2005, she has been painting, drawing and creating video arts. Yavuz has held her solo exhibitions and has participated in many group exhibitions, including the exhibition at Große Kunstausstellung in Düsseldorf (2008). Yavuz also works at the storybook-publishing company Gillvuz, which was founded in 2007. She gives lectures and conducts workshops on story books at universities, schools, and preschools.
