Ayşen Urfalıoğlu was born in Istanbul in 1967. She graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University in 1993. Since 1992 she has participated in many group exhibitions and held several solo exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. In 1994 Urfalıoğlu received "Yunus Emre" Award in the Esbank painting competition. She currently lives and works in Istanbul.
