Berkay Buğdanoğlu was born in Istanbul in 1986. After finishing at Koç High School, he received scholarship from David Jacobs and C.V. Starr, to study painting at the Maryland Institute College of Arts from 2003 to 2007. He traveled in the US and East Europe from 2007 to 2011, drawing animations and illustrations. Buğdanoğlu had his first solo exhibition "01: Ante Bellum" at Min Art & Antiques in 2012. Since then he has held his solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. Currently, he continues painting in Istanbul.
