Berna Erkün was born in Ankara in 1962. She graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University in 1986, and completed her master′s degree at her alma mater in 1989. From 2009 to 2012, she served as a board member of the International Plastic Arts Association. Erkün has had nine solo exhibitions, and participated in numerous group exhibitions. Her works can be seen in many national and international private collections. In 2013, Erkün participated in the group exhibition "In Search for the New" at the Armaggan Art & Design Gallery in Istanbul. Currently, she continues painting in Istanbul.
