Canan Özenen graduated from the Department of Industrial Design at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. After working as a designer for several companies in 1992-1998, she worked as an instructor at the Sandık Art Studio for 10 years. Özenen then founded Art & Design Studio and worked as an instructor until 2012. She also founded Hobby Decorative Arts and worked as an art director until 2006. Özenen has held many solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions. She currently lives and works in Istanbul and Antalya, Kaş.
