Prof. Dinçer Erimez

Dinçer Erimez was born in Istanbul in 1932. He studied painting with Cemal Tollu, Halil Dilmen and Nurullah Berk at the Istanbul Academy of Fine Arts. He went to Italy (1959-1960) and France (1965-1966) to study painting, and attended many painting competitions and exhibitions. In 1952-1969 Erimez directed an art program for Istanbul Technical University Television. In 1978 he made a sculpture "Freedom and Peace" in Girne, North Cyprus. Erimez taught painting at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and Marmara University. He became an Associate Professor in 1968 and Professor in 1981 at Mimar Sinan University. His works can be seen in many national and international collections. He has received many awards for his works. Prof. Erimez currently lives and works in Istanbul.
