Emin Çizenel

Emin Çizenel was born in Mallia, Cyprus in 1949. He graduated from Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts in 1974. In 1991, he received a Fulbright Grant and went to New York. He participated in artist-in-residence programs in Turkey and Vienna. Since the 1970s, Çizenel has worked as an independent professional artist in Istanbul. He has held 28 solo exhibitions and participated in 29 group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. Çizenel has received many awards for his paintings. Çizenel also teaches painting and History of Art in North Cyprus.
