Fevzi Tüfekçi

Fevzi Tüfekçi was born in Prizren, Yugoslavia in 1948. He moved to Turkey and studied painting at the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts in 1971-1975. In the next year, he became a member of the Association of Visual Artists in Kosovo and Yugoslavia. In 1992 he started teaching painting in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University. Tüfekçi held his first solo exhibition at the Pristina Culture Center in 1970. Since then he has held many solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. He has received many awards for his works in various competitions. His works can be seen in many collections including the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Tüfekçi currently continues teaching at Mimar Sinan University.
