Mehmet Uygun

Mehmet Uygun was born in 1964. He graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University in 1989. He completed his master’s degree at his alma mater in 1991. He served as a research assistant in the Faculty of Fine Art at Anadolu University between 1991 and 1993. In the next year, Uygun went to America and worked on art in New York for a year. In 1995, he started working as a research assistant at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Marmara University. In 1998, he completed his doctoral degree with proficiency in arts at Marmara University. His solo exhibitions “Kayı Mesih” was held at Casa Dell’Arte Art Gallery in Istanbul in 2008.
