Memduh Kuzay

Memduh Kuzay was born in Kayseri in 1957. He graduated from the workshop of Prof. Özdemir Altan in the Painting Department at Mimar Sinan University in 1985. Between 1986 and 1992, he went to the US and studied painting. After returning to Turkey in 1994, Kuzay continued his study at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Mersin University, teaching as a tutor. Between 1995 and 1998, he served as Deputy Dean in the Faculty of Fine Art; and as Department Chair in the Painting Department of Mersin University. He has had many solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. In 2001 he received the best artist award in the Outdoor Show in Chicago. Currently, Kuzay lives and continues his work in Mersin.
