Nazlı Eda Noyan was born in Izmir in 1974. She completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in graphic design at Dokuz Eylül University, Bilkent University and University of Florida. Noyan completed her doctoral degree at Istanbul Technical University with her thesis on film title design in Turkish cinema. Since then, she has served as an assistant professor in the Faculty of Communications at Bahçeşehir University, Istanbul. She worked as an intern designer in UNICEF, Ghana. She also works as a writer, freelance illustrator and designer in various books and magazines such as Trendsetter, Grafik Tasarım and Seyir. In addition, she has produced animation and video works including Children of the Other Lands, which won Best Animation award in Istanbul Short Film Festival in 2006.
