Prof. Nedret Sekban

Nedret Sekban was born in Trabzon in 1953. He graduated from the Painting Department of the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts in 1977. In 1979 he was appointed as an assistant to the Painting Department of the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts. After receiving his doctoral degree, proficiency in arts in 1983, Sekban taught at the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University and received the title of Assistant Professorship in 1992. He became an Associate Professor in 1995 and Professor in 2001. Prof. Sekban has held many solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions. He has received many awards for his works. Prof. Sekban currently continues teaching at Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul.
