Nilüfer Tokay

Nilüfer Tokay was born in Ankara in 1950. She graduated from the Faculty of French Language and Literature at Ankara University in 1972. While studying at the university, she took painting lessons from Eşref Üren. In 1978, she began studying painting with Prof. Devrim Erbil. Tokay attended many famous artists′ workshops. She founded her own atelier in 1994. Since 1986 Tokay has participated in various group exhibitions and held over 15 solo exhibitions in Turkey. In 2016 she held her solo exhibition at the Agora Art Gallery in New York. Her paintings can be seen in many public and private collections in Turkey. Tokay currently continues her work in Istanbul.
