Assistant Prof. Nuray Gümüştekin was born in Izmir in 1966. She graduated from the Department of Graphic in the Faculty of Education of Dokuz Eylül University in 1987. She continued her master’s degree and received it at the same university in 1991. She received her efficient art doctorate at the Department of Graphic in the Faculty of Fine Arts of Dokuz Eylül University in 2000. Gümüştekin has been working in the University of Balıkesir, Faculty of Fine Arts since 2006 and appointed Chairman of the University of Balıkesir, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting in 2007. She received a third prize at the First National Watercolor Painting Competition in 2008. Her works can be seen at the Balıkesir Devrim Erbil Contemporary Art Museum. Currently, Gümüştekin works as a tutor in the Department of Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Balıkesir University.
