Nurten Deniz

Nurten Deniz was born in Istanbul in 1974. She received a bachelor′s degree from the Painting Department of the University of Anatolia Fine Arts Faculty. She gave printmaking, art theory and Greek Mythology lectures at Süleyman Demirel University during 1998-1999. She got her masters degree from the Painting Department of University of Anatolia. Then she continued her works in a London Printmaking Studio and participated in printmaking technique studies with studio artists between 2000 and 2004. She returned to Turkey and worked as the director of Artess Printmaking studio at Istanbul Museum of Graphic Arts where she also gave lectures on printmaking. In 2006, she established her own studio in Istanbul. She participated in 30 group exhibitions (24 in Turkey, 6 abroad). She also made two solo exhibitions in London and Izmir (Iş Sanat Gallery). She has 3 awards in printmaking and 1 award is drawing.
