Oya Zaim Katoğlu

Oya Zaim Katoğlu was born in Istanbul in 1940. She graduated from the Department of Art History in the Faculty of Language, History, and Geography at Ankara University. With the support of her father and painter Turgut Zaim, she learned painting and joined the group "Henri Rousseau" in Switzerland. She had her first solo exhibition in Ankara in 1966. Since then, Zaim Katoğlu has held many solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. She has received several awards for her paintings including a jury special prize, which she received in the Zurich International Painting Exhibition (1975). Oya Zaim Katoğlu currently lives and works in Ankara.
