Özgür Korkmazgil was born in Mersin in 1968. He began working at his own studio since 1993. He creates the art of today’s iconography. Korkmazgil has had many solo exhibitions and participated in many fairs, workshops, project exhibitions, group exhibitions and symposiums, including the 2006 Tehran Biennial and the 2007 Contemporary Istanbul Art Fair. As of today, Korkmazgil continues his work at his own studio in Kadıköy Mühürdar, Istanbul.
