Art Profile :

Pınar Yoldaş graduated from the Department of Architecture at Middle East Technical University, and completed her master′s degree in Art at Istanbul Bilgi University and in Science at Istanbul Technical University. She is a cross-disciplinary artist and researcher, and investigates social and cultural systems in regards to biological and ecological systems. She has been designing mutations, tumors and neoplasmic organs to rethink the body and how its sexuality is transformed by the mostly urban habitats of techno-capitalist consumerism. Yoldaş completed her third master′s degree at the University of California in Los Angeles. She has held solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Istanbul, Bologna, Frankfurt, Los Angeles, San Diego, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, and Durham. Yoldaş currently pursues her doctoral degree in Art in the Department of Art History and Visual Studies at Duke University.
