Assoc. Prof. Rıza Kuruüzümcü

Assoc. Prof. Rıza Kuruüzümcü was born in Kuşadası in 1968. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering (1985-1990) and from the Vocational School (1990-1991) at Boğaziçi University. He then studied painting in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University from 1991 to 1995, and completed his master′s degree (1998) and doctoral degree, proficiency in art (2000) at the same university. Since 2000, Kuruüzümcü has worked as an Associate Professor at the Painting Department of Yıldız Technical University. He has also served as the director at the Istanbul State Painting and Sculpture Museum, Research and Application Center since 2012. Kuruüzümcü has held many solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. He currently lives and works in Istanbul.
