Şahin Paksoy

Şahin Paksoy was born in Ceyhan, Adana in 1952. He graduated from the Painting Department of the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts in 1980. He tries to create modern Turkish paintings by reinterpretation, and painting with his own imagination. He gets inspiration from Anatolian Culture including Ottoman miniature paintings, Byzantine icons and Seljuk carpets. As of today, Paksoy continues to work at his workshop in Istanbul.
