Salih Keleş was born in 1964. He graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Education at Marmara University in 1987. Between 1987 and 1988, he lived in England and researched at the National Gallery, Tate Gallery, the British Museum and Hayward Gallery. In 1992, Keleş had his first solo exhibition at Akbank Kuzguncuk Art Gallery. In 1998, he participated in the 75th Anniversary of Izmir Municipality, Painting Competition and received an award.  Since 1987, he has participated in many group exhibitions and competitions in Turkey. His paintings have been used for more than 20 different books covers and theater posters. His works can be seen in many national and international collections. Currently, Keleş continues to work at his studio in Dragos, Istanbul.
