Sema Maşkılı was born in Uzunköprü, Edirne in 1980. She finished at the Istanbul Anadolu Fine Arts High School in 1998. She graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University in 2003. In the same year, she continued her master′s degree and completed in 2006. Currently Maşkılı continues her work in Istanbul.
