Semra Taşdemir

Semra Taşdemir was born in Elazığ. She graduated from the Faculty of Economic at Marmara University in 1982. She continued her master’s degree at the Business and Economic Institute of Istanbul University in 1985. In the next year, she started working on art at the workshop of Nuri Temizsoylu in the State Painting and Sculpture Museum Association, which belongs to Mimar Sinan University. In 1988 Taşdemir attended the workshop of Yusuf Taktak. She was one of the members of Atölye Uçgen. In 1997, she founded Kaleidoscope workshop with her artist friends. She is a member of UPSD and continues to work at her own workshop in Istanbul. Since 1987 Taşdemir has participated in various group exhibitions and held many solo exhibitions in Turkey. She currently continues her work in Istanbul.
