Serhat Koçak was born in Istanbul in 1983. He lived in Australia for many years and studied IT majoring in Multimedia at a college in Australia. His passion of expressing himself through creating something took him back to painting on a canvas. Koçak expresses feelings with mixed media in his paintings, and wants the observer to forget about the material world and notice their inner selves. He has held several solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. He has received several awards. Koçak currently continues his painting in Istanbul.
