Serkan Bayer was born in Elazığ in 1975. He started painting when he was nine years old. He graduated from a university of fine arts. During academic training, Bayer explored about philosophy of arts. He refused the conventional approach and created individual perspectives. By 1999, he had found his personal style based on mythology, religion, icons, and metaphor. Bayer has held many solo exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. He currently lives and works in Istanbul.
