Seyyit Bozdoğan

Seyyit Bozdoğan was born in Kozan in 1941. He taught at a primary school in Urfa after 1959. From 1962 to 1967, he studied Stage Design at the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts and worked on stage décor at the Istanbul Opera and Ballet. From 1968 to 1973 he received a Ministry of Education scholarship and studied in the Pictorial Art Department of the State Fine Arts Academy in Berlin. He graduated from the studio of Prof. Hann Trier in 1973. Between 1972 and 1974 he conducted art tours in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Italy and Germany and did freelance work at the Berlin State Fine Arts Academy. Bozdoğan worked as an assistant lecturer at the Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts from 1974 to 1976. He received a scholarship of Ernst Strassman-Stiftung and went to Cologne, Germany. Since 1974, he has participated in various solo and joint exhibitions not only in Turkey but also abroad.
