Taner Ceylan was born in Selb, Germany in 1967. He graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University in 1991. Because of his art works, Ceylan was slated in the local press and suffering from the onslaught both on his skills and his person in 2007. He transferred these emotions and experiences onto his paintings. Ceylan is now approved as the most impressive hyperrealist artist and one of the foremost artists on the contemporary in Turkey. He has had many solo exhibitions and participated in lots of group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. Currently, Ceylan lives and works in Istanbul.
