Teksin Özgüz was born in Adana, where she completed her primary and secondary education. She studied art and fashion at Mithatpaşa Art Institute between 1974 and 1976. Özgüz then moved to Istanbul and continued to paint at her own studio. She has participated in various group painting exhibitions. She also learned Classical Turkish Music between 1988 and 2000 and worked as a chorister at Ü.M.C for 12 years. In 1998, Özgüz entered the Department of Plastic Arts in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Istanbul Yeditepe University and studied at the workshops of Özdemir Altan and Zahit Büyükişliyen. She graduated in 2002. From 1995 to 2009, Özgüz spent her summer months in England and the U.S. to research art. After attending several instruction programs in Bournemouth and San Francisco, she exhibited her works in various group exhibitions. Her paintings can be seen in some special collections in Chicago and Houston. Currently, Özgüz manages the Teksin Art Gallery, which she founded in 2001, and continues painting in her workshop. She is a member of International Association of Art.
