Assist. Prof. Umut Germeç

Umut Germeç was born in Tokat in 1963. In 1987, he graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Mimar Sinan University, where he studied with Neşet Günal, Neş′e Erdok, and Devrim Erbil. After completing his master′s degree in Painting at the same university in 1990, Germeç completed his doctoral degree, proficiency in Arts at the Graphic Department of Mimar Sinan University. He became an assistant professor at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University in 2009. Germeç currently teaches at Mimar Sinan Fine Art University. He has held solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions. His poems and articles on art have been published in art periodicals such as Cumhuriyet Dergisi, Varlık, Papirüs, İnsancıl, and Evrensel Kültür.
