Ünsal Toker

Ünsal Toker was born in 1933. He studied painting with masters such as Eşref Üren and Turgut Zaim, and graduated from the workshop of Ali Avni Çelebi in the Painting Department at Istanbul State Academy of Fine Arts in 1958. In the same year, Toker had his first solo exhibition in Izmir. Since then, he has had over 85 exhibitions. Toker retired from teaching after working at several schools for 26 years. He has received many awards including the 36th Turkish State Exhibitions, the recognition of success award (1975). Currently, Toker continues his work in Istanbul.
