Ursula Soltermann Katipoğlu was born in Wallis, Switzerland. She graduated from the Painting Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts of Sion Academy. She worked at the stained-glass workshop ‘Maeder’ and deepened her color perception. She then worked as an art teacher in Wallis Brig. Soltermann Katipoğlu has participated in many group exhibitions. She had her first solo exhibition at the Galeri Jodok in Brig. In 1980, she moved to Turkey and got married to the painter Yusuf Katipoğlu. Currently, Soltermann Katipoğlu continues working at her apartment in Kuzguncuk, Istanbul.
