Yusuf Bilge

Yusuf Bilge was born in Edremit in 1959. After finishing his middle and high school education in Ayvalık, he graduated from the Painting Department at Marmara University in 1980. In 1986, he completed his study with Prof. Waldemar Otto at Bremen College of Fine Arts. Bilge founded his workshop in Bremen and continued painting in Germany. He was selected as a director of Bremen Immigrant Artists Association in 1990. In 1996, Bilge founded his new workshop, where he painted until his return to Turkey in 2008. He has held many solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions. Bilge currently lives and works in Istanbul.
