Ferit Kuyas

Ferit Kuyas was born in Istanbul in 1955. He studied architecture and law in Zurich, Switzerland and graduated in jurisprudence from the University of Zurich in 1982. In 1986, Kuyas started his career in photography. He has been working mainly on personal projects. His main subjects are fine arts, architecture, interiors, advertisement and editorial. Kuyas has had many solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions, art fairs and festivals in Europe, the United States and Asia. He has also published several books. His most recent project was “City of Ambition – Fast Forward in China” (2008). His photographs have been shown in museums, galleries and festivals in Europe, America and Asia. His works can be seen in national and international public and private collections in the United States, England, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany and Turkey. He has received a number of awards, among them the Kodak Photobook-Award and the Hasselblad Masters. Currently, Kuyas lives and works in Wädenswil, Switzerland.
