Rengin Saltık was born in 1958. She graduated from the Department of City and Regional Planning in the Faculty of Architecture at the Middle East Technical University in Ankara. She completed her master′s degree in the same field at Ohio State University. Saltık started painting at Kayihan Keskinok workshop in 1991-1993. She then attended Halil Akdeniz’s masters′ studio as a special student in the Painting Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Bilkent University for a year. Saltık has had 10 solo exhibitions and participated in 8 group exhibitions in Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir. The themes of these exhibitions were, "The Talismans, Signs and the Art of Calligraphy of the Ottoman Period", "White Flowers", "New Paintings from Old Lives", "The Miniature Paintings of the Ottoman Period", "Drawings from the History of Art" and "Abstract Figures". She also worked on the interpretations of the ceramic tiles of Kubadabad Palace in the Seljuk Period. As of today, Saltık continues to work in her workshop in Ankara. Her paintings can be seen in several private collections.
