Dilek Mumcuoğlu Bölükbaşı was born in Ankara in 1966. She graduated from the Department of Architecture at Middle East Technical University in 1988. She attended a program on restoration of residences at Dortmunt University, Germany in 1988. She worked at Tüstaş Sanayi Tesisler A.Ş. and at the Tepe Group between 1988 and 1992. Since 1992, Bölükbaşı has been running her own company, TD Decoration and Construction Ltd. Between 1999 and 2002, Bölükbaşı studied painting at the Yaşar Çallı Workshop. Between 2002 and 2006, she worked sculpture in the Ahmet Özsalar workshop, who is a ceramic artist and an instructor at the Faculty of Fine Art of Bilkent University. She has had several solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey. As of today, Bölükbaşı continues ceramic, sculpture and painting at her own workshop in Ankara.
