Eti Behar was born in Istanbul in 1950. She graduated from American College for Girls in 1968. From 1992 to 1996, she studied art history in Istanbul and Boston. In 1996, Behar started sculpturing with Abdülkadir Öztürk. In the next year, she continued her work with Ferit Özşen. From 1996 to 2000, Behar worked with Erdoğan Sarma and Ayşa Esebik. Behar also sculpted at Bülent Çınar′s workshop from 2000 to 2002. She founded "Tünel Culture Center" in Tünel, Istanbul in 2002. Behar also worked with Genco Gülan from 2007 to 2009. She has had several solo exhibitions and has participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. Behar currently continues to work at her own workshop in Seyrantepe, Istanbul.
