Ferit Yazıcı was born in Razgrad, Bulgaria in 1972. He graduated from the Sculpture Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University in 1999. He completed his master’s degree at the Sculpture Department of Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2008. Currently, Yazıcı continues his doctoral degree and works as a research assistant at his alma mater. He has participated in many group exhibitions and symposiums in Turkey and abroad, and received many awards for his works.
