Salih Coşkun was born in Ağrı, in the foothills of Mount Ararat in 1950. He grew up in Bursa and studied at the Dramatic Arts Conservatory in Istanbul. He became an actor but continued painting and sculpting. In 1980, he moved to Paris to devote himself to art. Coskun has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in art fairs and various group exhibitions such as "European Museum Nights," "Copenhagen Cultural Capital," "Être ainsi," and "Ar(t)bre." In 2002, he exhibited his sculptural work on wood ay the Musée des beaux-arts in Troyes. His monumental sculptures were exhibited in the Luxembourg Gardens and the Orangerie by the French Senate (Paris, 2003 and 2007). Coşkun’s works can be seen in several public institutions and international private collections. He currently continues to live and work in Paris.
