Şebnem Keçeli was born in Istanbul in 1971. She graduated from the Department of American Studies at Ankara University. She obtained her Master′s degree in Plastic Arts at the Institute of Social Sciences of Yeditepe University. Keçeli attended several sculpture workshops of famous artists such as İrfan Korkmazlar and Yunus Tonkuş. Keçeli participated in a summer residency program of Sculpture, Installation and New Media Art at the School of Visual Arts in New York. She has held several solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. Keçeli currently continues her work in Istanbul.
