Seval Şener was born in Tokat in 1977. She received her BA from the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at Hacettepe University (1999) and the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture at Bilkent University (2005). After completing her MA at the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture of Bilkent University (2007), she went to the US and completed her second MA at Eastern Illinois University in 2008. Şener completed her Ph.D. in Sculpture at Hacettepe University in 2012. She currently teaches as a research assistant at the Sculpture Department of Hacettepe University. Şener has held three solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. She has also attended many international art symposiums and talks.
