Tanzer Arığ was born in Ankara in 1975. He graduated from the Department of Sculpture of Erciyes University in 1996; the Department of Sculpture in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University in 2000. In 2005, He completed master’s degree, while he worked as a research assistant at his alma mater. As of today, he serves as a specialist in Hacettepe University. Arığ has had 4 solo exhibitions and participated in many group exhibitions and symposiums in Turkey. His works can be seen in many public and private collections such as the collection of Hacettepe University, Prof. Dr. Üstün Dökmen private collection, Anadolu Agency collection and the collection of Incorporated Law Society of Ankara. Arığ was awarded in the 66th Competition in the Ankara National Museum of Painting and Sculpture in 2005; and received second prize in the Ankara Paintings and Sculpture Competition.
