Tina Varon was born in Istanbul in 1962. She graduated from the Faculty of Letters at Istanbul University and the Department of Design Culture and Management at Bilgi University (1998). She studied sculpture at Irfan Korkmazlar and Yunus Tonkuş′s workshop. Varon also took a class of glass blowing from Michael Estes Taylor and of solid glass sculpture from Paul de Soma at the Glass Furnace Foundation in Istanbul. In addition to them, she took ceramic courses from Ünal Cimit, Bilgi Adalan and Tuba Inal. Since 1991, Varon has participated in many group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. She currently continues her work in Istanbul.
