Seher Özinan was born in Konya in 1957. She graduated from the Graphic Department in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University in 1983. She worked in the advertising sector as a graphic designer and art director until 1988. She then moved to Italy. In 1990s, Özinan prepared panels themed "The life of Turkish village women" and exhibited them in 14 different European cities on the occasion of the conference with the same title. She also participated in many cultural exchange events and organizations in Italy. Since 1997 Özinan has focused on fashion and costume design. She has painted "Harem" series using different techniques along with her own special method. She has held 8 solo exhibitions and participated in 10 group exhibitions. Özinan currently lives and works in Istanbul.
