Sema Okan Topaç was born in Izmir in 1975. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Dokuz Eylül University in 1998. In 1996, she won a special prize in the 4th Golden Pitcher Ceramic Competition at the Izmir Rotary Club. She continued master’s degree on ceramic art in the Institute of Fine Arts at the same university. Okan Topaç has participated in several group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. She has also attended many workshops and symposiums in Turkey and Finland. In 2007, she participated in Art Meets Ice Sculpture Competition as a Turkish Team with Varol Topaç and received the 6th Prize.
